Every stone I threw,
went a mile
and never hit you.
After hours searching,
I found where
it had fallen to.
Picked it up,
arms wound tight,
I threw once more,
having set my sight.
Yet once again,
my muscles ached,
and you stood tall,
your spirit wide awake.
My hurls were only hurting me;
This, took me a thousand throws to see.
