The lonely world I traveled, brought me down the path to you.
The awkward silence in me, made a sound that spoke the truth.
The everlasting night, it came and went, morning brought the light.
The only memory I cherish will always be the you I knew.
Knowing everything will end,
Seeing down the road so clearly,
Thinking of all future regrets,
I’m walking towards them slowly, freely.
Smiles have been wiped across my face.
Tears have tumbled, rolled down my cheeks.
Warmth has left me, so I chase,
Thoughts of pasts, of our embrace.
The shallow grave I dug was meant for me, and me alone.
The company you brought, I denied, for far too long.
The endless cares and worries, didn’t seem to fit my needs.
The foreign feelings of comfort, brought me far, yet close to home.
